LSA 60 lead-screw actuators (NEMA 23)

The LSA 60 is the heavier Z axis: a NEMA 23 motor and a larger screw on a 60 mm profile, 100, 250, or 500 mm of travel, and a 15 kg vertical rating — the catalog's largest lead-screw payload. The engine selects it when an SBA90-class gantry needs a Z to match, or when a 7 kg LSA 45 is simply too small.

Parallel-mount and inline configurations, stepper or servo, from $1,125 (100 mm inline stepper) to $1,875 (500 mm parallel servo). Leads of 6.35, 12.7, and 25.4 mm cover 150 to 500 mm/s. Above 15 kg the catalog stops; the engine says so and routes a 25 kg Z to the engineered path with the sizing already done.

Rated load and speed are catalog maximums for the configuration shown; "—" means the figure depends on the motor curve at your speed — the engine computes it. All prices are U.S. list, single quantity.

Not sure which one?

Describe the task — payload, travel, speed, orientation. The engine picks the family and the variant, shows the torque and inertia math, and prices the whole system.

Frequently asked

What is the heaviest Z payload in the LYNX catalog?

15 kg on the LSA 60 at a 2× safety factor. Heavier is an engineered axis — a NEMA 34 screw stage, brake, or counterbalance — which the engine sizes and quotes through an engineer.

Can the LSA 60 run at 500 mm/s?

At the 25.4 mm lead, with reduced payload. The engine shows the lead that meets your speed and the load margin that remains.

LSA 60 or BSA 60?

LSA 60 for cost and self-locking hold; BSA 60 for continuous duty, higher thrust, and tighter repeatability.
