SBA90 belt actuators (NEMA 34)
The SBA90 is the long-travel, heavy-payload end of the belt line: a NEMA 34 motor on a 90 mm profile, 675 mm motor-down or 1,275 mm motor-up with an integral brake, IP65 sealing, and an absolute encoder on every unit (hence SBAC90). It is the actuator the engine reaches for above 10 kg, above 750 mm, or above 1,000 mm/s.
Direct-drive steppers run to 1,200 mm/s and servos to 2,500 mm/s. The 3:1 gearbox versions raise torque for heavier carriages; the 5:1 servo version carries the catalog's maximum rating of 50 kg at 1,000 mm/s. The 1,275 mm motor-up units include a brake for vertical or inclined mounting. Prices run from $1,950 (675 mm stepper) to $3,050 (1,275 mm servo, 5:1, brake), and lead time is 6–8 weeks.
Past 1,275 mm
Requests for 1,500–3,000 mm are the most common thing the catalog cannot fill from a single part. The engine names the SBA90 as the closest SKU, quantifies the gap, and routes you to the engineered tandem-rail path — see the long-travel guide.

Rated load and speed are catalog maximums for the configuration shown; "—" means the figure depends on the motor curve at your speed — the engine computes it. All prices are U.S. list, single quantity.
Not sure which one?
Describe the task — payload, travel, speed, orientation. The engine picks the family and the variant, shows the torque and inertia math, and prices the whole system.
Frequently asked
What is the longest LYNX belt actuator?
The SBAC90 at 1,275 mm travel. Longer spans are built as tandem-rail or engineered stages, which the engine sizes and routes to an engineer.
Is the SBA90 sealed?
Yes, IP65, which makes it the family for wash-down and dusty environments where the SBA45/60 are not rated.
Why does the 1,275 mm unit include a brake?
At that length and payload, holding position on an inclined or vertical mount without power requires a brake; it is standard on the motor-up units.
What is the lead time?
6–8 weeks for SBA90 variants, versus 2–3 weeks for the SBA45/60.
